As of today, the Marty Hennessy Foundation has earned more than $17,000,000 in scholarships and has raised $15,000,000, which has gone directly into training & mentoring children!

“Marty Hennessy does so much for so many. He is my favorite person in the whole world.” Tony Bennett

It all started 15 years ago, with just one child, Frideric Prandecki. He was six years old at the time and the first thing he told Marty, or Morty as he’d call him, was, “I’ll never be as good as my sister.” His sister ice-skated throughout Europe.

“Don’t worry Freddy…just focus on you!” said Marty. It wasn’t easy for little Freddy, but with proper help he was progressing towards a scholarship. He was a kid with great talent, but did not have enough funds necessary to participate in the tournaments. Marty began hosting tournaments to raise money and help kids like Freddy in the training program.

Ryan Wolfington and Marty Hennessy met in 2004 and were united by the passion to help kids. There were no big plans, no big agenda, but a simple love for tennis and their need to change lives for the better, create a future and inspire children.

Marty recognized an incredible ability in Ryan to mentor kids. He could spend hours and hours explaining, until children truly grasped the concept and understand the subject. All this weaved together and the foundation was co-founded by Ryan Wolfington and Marty Hennessy, with the help of entertainment icon Tony Bennett, and tennis legend Mike Agassi.

Today it includes most of the Southern Nevada Tennis Community and is recognized nationwide. The Marty Hennessy Foundation has created essential academic, athletic, leadership, and personal development environment for children to be the best they can be.

Frideric Prandecki successfully got his scholarship in 2006, and opened the door for more children to follow him.

“If not for the Foundation, I would not be at college, period.” Frideric Prandecki, NC State, Captain

Since its launch, support has poured from boxing legend Mike Tyson, Las Vegas Sands Corp President Rob Goldstein, Technology Entrepreneur Sean Wolfington, Executive Ron Santella, Comedian Rita Rudner, Producer Martin Bergman, and Actor Eduardo Verastegui, to name a few.
