June The Season of Entertaining
This is a great season for showing off your beautiful home. Family and friends will gather in your beautiful kitchen and eat at that spectacular dining room table that you bought.
Now is the time to hit the garden shops for wonderful live pots of flowers, trees, and anything you want to adorn your home and outside patio with to bring those desert vista views into your space.
Invite your family to celebrate the purchase of your new home. Decorate with sunny bright colors and bring the electric blue of the desert sky into your home with artwork and accessories.
You bought your home because you fell in love with the city views. Get excited by having your friends over for a summer meal on your fabulous patio…who wouldn’t want to show off a little?
Change is in the air, capture it with love, food and friends. You will find lots of colorful accessories just around the corner at your favorite shops.
Indulge in decorating for the fun of celebrating. Food is great this time of year. The colorful fruits and vegetables you can purchase can inspire you to cook and share your dinner with those close to you.
Have a picnic indoors if you don’t have a big patio to dine on. Don’t let the fact that there is no patio keep you from having a fun, exciting afternoon party in your home.
Bright and beautiful tableware is the theme of the month. I was recently in the Appalachians for a week, went to antique shops, and found some of the most beautiful Depression glassware in the colors of dusty rose, peach, and blue green…the colors of spring. Do some scouting from your local antique vendors and see what treasures you find for your table.
I recently inherited my mother’s china. When mom had one of her many parties, she was always proud to show off her pretty tables. Now, I can carry over the tradition by showing off those same dishes to my friends.
