It’s no surprise that after what we endured in 2020, we have been made more aware of what we put in our bodies. We been trying to drink more water, eat more healthier, and take more vitamins so that we can boost our immune systems.

There are so many different remedies that you can try to be the best version of yourself. How about finding the right detox? Detoxes don’t just aid in weight loss, they serve multiple purposes, offer a lot of benefits, and are super easy to make.

What is a detox?

Detox water is a water that’s infused with the flavors from household items such as, fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs. Detoxes are a great way to cleanse the body inside and out due to the process of eliminating sugars, processed foods and caffeine. The duration of a detox is typically 7 days, but you may choose to continue the process regularly. All you need is water and chop up your choice of ingredients, add to hot or cold water, the more ingredients you add the stronger the flavor. Then place in  the fridge for 1-12 hours.

Cucumber Mint Detox

Cucumbers are very low in calories, but deliver amazing health benefits. They’re high in nutrients, promote hydration, aid in weight loss, lower blood sugar levels, and helps clean the liver. The combination between the cucumber and the mint not only help with adding flavor,  but helps aid in the digestive system.

Lemon & Ginger Detox

Lemons offers the same amount of benefits as cucumbers. Lemons contain a high amount of Vitamin C, fiber, reduce the risk of heart disease, anemia, kidney stones, digestive issues and cancer. Ginger reduces nausea and helps fight the flu and common cold symptoms.. However, ginger also helps with arthritis,, reduces menstrual pain, and protects against Alzheimer’s-disease. 

Grapefruit & Rosemary Detox

Grapefruit benefits the immune system and assists in appetite control. It also, prevents insulin resistance, which can eventually cause diabetes. It contains lycopene,  which slows the growth of tumors and side effects of common cancer treatments. Rosemary helps improve the quality of memory performance, boosts alertness, intelligence and focus. It has anti-aging benefits, improves circulation and works as a natural mood elevator.  

Blackberries & Orange Detox

Blackberries contain vitamin K, which helps in not bleeding a lot when cutting yourself, it also helps with preventing blood clots and aids in bone thinning or fractures and eases heavy menstrual bleeding. Blackberries also work as a collagen and helps with anemia. Oranges relieve bloating and  joint pain. They are high on Vitamin C and help prevent vision loss and kidney stones from forming.
